Low FPS and high number of canvas calls

My unity program ran smoothly before the update. I added components to publish on windows, and my current version was actually already updated. However, after running the update, I noticed that the app on the unity player has a high amount of lag. Checking the profiler, there is a high amount of calls/processing on OnRectTransformDimensionChange(). My app has a large number of canvas/gameobjects, however there was no lag before and the app runs very smoothly outside the unity player (on mobile and mac version) Is this the amount fo calls normal on the profiler? ![alt text][1] [1]: /storage/temp/105242-screen-shot-2017-11-09-at-123709-am.png
